Bushwhacking 02:53
Stuck in cycle Trying to get out of my head There’s plenty of reasons but they’re all hanging by a thread Stuck in the infinite afterglow (you glow in the dark) really think I oughta know about keeping my mouth shut (bask in the glow) There’s several things that tend to scare me half to death So I think I might have a laugh and I jest and I whistle a tune and it goes like this burn books like a mystery you’re singing lots of songs like a victory burn books like they’re history you’re singing lots of songs like it’s meant to be

Betty 01:46
Betty finds her tools in the back of a shed Unconfidently, I approach misled I need all these tools so desperately Betty don’t you see? Betty don’t you see? Now I don’t have use for tools anymore Layin’ em like guns tapped out of the floor The only thing I need is my head on straight Hardly worth the wait, hardly worth the wait Squeeze me tight until I slip right out your grasp I feel one or two- no several - ways that I’ve tried but cannot understand I’m a hostage with demands Now I play a game I used to refuse The only person holding back you is you Cheating gets you far, but not far enough Bullshit out of luck, bullshit out of luck Squeeze me tight until I slip right out your grasp I feel one or two- no several - ways that I’ve tried but cannot understand I’m a hostage with demands

Conversation 02:12
Juggling words on the tip of my tongue I see you sifting through options glad you’re having your fun Sometimes feelings can’t be told through words (Thats why) There’s more to conversing that what can be heard Having a conversation We’re on the same page No, I don’t like impersonations So I’ll take a seat and let you hop up on stage We’re having a conversation It’s falling apart Well we all have our own connotations and speech is an art Guess we were doomed from the start Juggling jargon tryna get you on board Do you like the lyrics / are you attached to the chords? What are you getting at it now? What’s the reward? (if there is one at all) We’re having a conversation It’s fallen apart Well we all have our own connotations and speech is an art Guess we were doomed from the start We're having a conversation We like talking (no bad omens) We like speaking (no bad people anymore) We like singing

Two Brains 03:00
Two mouths, two eyes I can't see straight and I'm tongue tied Contradictions dictate life All the places I have been I feel so far and inbetween them I need a spot to rest my head heard it once before I have two brains weighing me down I feel this way and I feel that way too I'll never get anything done if i'm always in two moods Too many cards to deal Two brains weighing me down Back then, I talked I ran my mouth round' the block Confidence on the clock when it counts And all the things I might've said I feel so far and inbetween them I need a spot to rest my head Feelings not the same I have two brains weighing me down I feel this way and I feel that way too I'll never get anything done if i'm always in two moods Too many cards to deal Two brains weighing me down down

Rate this out of ten And multiply that By the hours put in You could not transcribe that Bask in the glow Glow in the dark Should you control our fate You don’t even play the guitar That much for a review Against all logic Burning bridges that I choose Or else I feel robotic Bask in the glow Glow in the dark Should you control our fate You should understand who you are Bask in the glow Glow in the dark Why should you control our fate You should understand what you are You don’t even the play the guitar

Rooster 03:27
There are lots of people in the world who claim, reassuringly, that they are not in it for the cash (as if they are not that deserving). Just something I’ve been observing. If you count the dollars you might see two plus two adding up to three. Dodgy thievish persons pocketing percents - How’d I come to expect this? Give me back my percentage. You trick and steal and cheat and lie. You’re pulling moves that we despise greatly I’ve been told my art is just a cool hobby- how patronizing. “Get a job and do this on the side” I have heard it so many times. I think it crosses a line. Minimum, maximum, til it’s done, no more fun, maximum, minimum… Didn’t go to college, people must think that I am doing this backwards. Am I doing this backwards? No, we have got to make this work. Get the money we deserve (and earned!) “You’re in it for the money, honey - somewhat funny…” “No I’m not, we’re hungry.” Now, we have got to make this work Get the money that we deserve (and earned!) Sneaking a sunrise right past a rooster feeling so tongue tied feel like a loser sneaking a sunrise right past a rooster feeling so tongue tied feel like a loser

Dozing Off 04:07
Time to waste Before you’re replaced Live in you dreams You pull the bed at it's seams Now you’re taking off your shoes Now there's nothing left to do Now I’m dozing off Now I’m dozing off I ran my hands through your hair I played the part You don’t care I played the game I been to school Goes to show there’s no rules
